Biography
A Southern gentleman, Brandon Drake Nelson was born on November 22, 1983 in Morrilton, AR but grew up in the Little Rock/Jacksonville area. After being a decorated student-athlete at Jacksonville High School, Brandon attended the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville where he had a short stint on the Arkansas Razorbacks football team, while pursuing a degree in English.
At the age of 24, Brandon was a finalist to be considered for The Real World Cancun, but was reserved for The Challenge: Fresh Meat 2 (formerly known as The Real World/Road Rules Challenge).
Being partnered with Katelynn (The Real World Brooklyn) Brandon was portrayed as a decent competitor that did not have the opportunity to display his talents, as well as being a very patient and understanding partner to Katelynn. He was also known to have a taste for partying and having a good time no matter what! With the stage set, Brandon returned the following season to have a breakout performance on The Challenge: Cutthroat, where his red team threw him into elimination every chance they got, only to have Brandon return several times, helping his red team ultimately win The Challenge: Cutthroat. The following season, Brandon appeared on The Challenge: Rivals, where he was partnered with Ty (The Real World D.C.) and despite having a strong team, they were eventually eliminated in a close battle against Kenny (Fresh Meat) and Wes (The Real World Austin). Brandons latest show The Challenge: Battle of the Seasons is currently on air
Brandon is known and held in high regard as being fair, loyal, and a no nonsense kind of player. His family, friends, and cast mates all love his personality and all know that he is ready play hard and party hard at the drop of a hat!
After filming The Challenge: Rivals, Brandon moved to Las Vegas where he currently resides. He hosts Real Talk with Brandon www.realtalkwithbrandon.com every Saturday at 4 pm EST where he interviews your favorite reality stars and you can call in with any questions or comments.
